iTunes 11 update is corrupt or not installed correctly. HELP!!

Hello,

This morning when starting up iTunes I got the update request for iTunes version 11, so I went through the installation process but after restarting my computer itunes would not work. It comes up with the message 'This version of iTunes is corrupt or not installed correctly, please reinstall itunes' there is no error code, it just says 'Error'

I have windows 7 64 bit, can anybody help me fix this?

Thank you so much for that advice zombolly ! I did the repair and it worked great. I did not even know I had the option to repair something instead of uninstall it. And , fyi, I also had something charging when I did the original upgrade that caused the corruption. It was my ipod shuffle. a moment after I clicked to upgrade, it dawned on me I had that plugged in and I thought "I wonder if this will be a problem?" but did not know how to stop the process.

was so glad to find this exact problem and so easily. My biggest problem was remembering my username and password.
