Here is the correct answer you are looking for...

To refresh all podcasts in iTunes 11:

- Select from View menu Show Sidebar

- Select Podcasts from Sidebar

- Select List view from the heading bar in the main iTunes window

- Select Refresh at the bottom right in the main iTunes window

Spinning arrows will appear next to each podcast as it is updated just as in earlier versions of iTunes.

You can also adjust the Podcast Settings from the List view by selecting the Settings... button at the bottom left in the main iTunes window.

Michael Sullivan's answer above also works to update all podcasts.

After you select Podcasts from the Sidebar, the main iTunes window will display all your podcasts in the smaller column on the left, and episodes for the selected podcast in the larger column on the right. At the top of the main iTunes windows, you should see three buttons: Unplayed, Podcasts and List. If you select List, you will see the traditional podcast view with the Refesh button at the lower right, and the Settings... button at the lower left.
