The problem with the Spotlight approach is it will not search in "System" folders, where supporting files are often kept. I would search for the file using command-f in Finder, then adding "System Files" are "Included" in the search criteria.

Sorry i don't Really understand.
There are apps that can search fast and deep:
Easyfind (free) in Appstore.
FindAnyFile (even better) (free).
When youhold Alt(Option) when choosing the "Find" button it searches even on "root" level.
Nuch better than Spotlight.
I don't find my Application in Application support ? Help !!
