read ftp configuration file

Question

read ftp configuration file

With the new "launchd“ daemon, what is the way to re-read the ftpd configuration file.
Before 10.4 I used
sudo kill -HUP `cat /var/run/xinetd.pid`

What is the equivalent ?

Well you could try:

sudo launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ftp.plist

sudo launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ftp.plist

It's not exacly the same as the kill -HUP command. Here the server si stopped, and started.

Is this correct ?

yes and no. anyone that is currently logged into the ftp server, is not
affected. but until com.apple.ftpd is reloaded. New sessions will not
be allowed.
