Missing tabs in iTunes Store app in my iPhone

Hi there,

I have a peculiar problem in stock iTunes Store app (iPhone 4S/iOS 6.0.1 not a Jailbroken phone). The default tabs at the bottom has been replaced. How to get the default tabs - Music, Movies, TV SHows, Search...? See how it looks now.

I remember iTunes didn't work after I installed iTunes U app (on iOS 5.x) and after upgrading to iOS 6 or 6.0.1 this has happened. I tried by removing the iTunes U app, reseting the phone, sign out-sign-in....but still no luck. If I click any of those tabs it shows a button "Get the iTunes U app" or "Get Podcast app" with app logo at the top.

I can open iTunes Store app from Movies and Music app, but bottom tabs wont change. Maybe, some internal configuration have gone bad for iTunes app!

I have same problem with iPhone 4 with iOS 6.0.1. My iPhone is from Singapore & I am using it in India. Both countries have iTunes store. So whats the problem of not getting Music & other tabs in iPhone iTunes app?

Please answer someone, as today only iTunes Store started in India & i am not be able to access it on my iPhone

Same thing on my iPad. Just the iTunes U and Podcasts.

Same problem with Russian account. In my case more buttons are available (i.e. Search, Downloads, Genius and Purchases). But still no Music and Films buttons. No solution is found yet.

Problem Resolved 🙂

With the help of iTunes 11 on PC

1. Take 'Back Up Now'

2. 'Restore iPhone' to factory settings

3. Choose option 'Backup' for reset, instead of set as 'New iPhone'

4. Restart iPhone (not required)

Now, the iTunes app showing all missing tabs 🙂 and also got all things from backup 🙂

Yes...last night I was able to get back all the tabs after a backup & full restoration (factory reset & restore from backup), but clicking Music tab still showing "iTunes U". Other tabs (Films, Search & Tones...working perfectly).

Hi tamalm, I got same issue after restoring iPhone. But, then I goto 'Music' app & press the 'Store' button. And after that, my 'Music' tab for 'iTunes' app working fine.

iGladi,

Same with me. Store button in Music and Video transfers to iTunes app and it works. But no respective buttons appears in iTunes app. So, in my case I can access to iTunes app content from search or from Store button in Music and Video(

iGladi,

Yea...I was able to open 'store' app from music app, always. But now, after full restore,.... if I click again on music tab I get this. Films & other tabs are just doing fine.

No idea then. I got resolution by "goto 'Music' app & press the 'Store' button and after that, my 'Music' tab for 'iTunes' app working fine always".

Finaly it works! I first removed iTunes U app from iPhone & also from iTunes (Mac). Then I took a full backup of my iPhone in my mac, followed by "Restore iPhone" and "Restore Backup" (use latest one). Now Music tab also working.

I'd not install iTunes U again. Hope it'll help others.

Deleting iTunes U doesn't seem to be helping. The Music tab on my iPad still acts as an iTunes U tab.

Well, that's awkward. The problem seemed to be in the downloads tab. The moment I deleted all my downloads the Music tab went to normal.
