For some reason, in documents that I have transfered from Word format to Pages, I am finding that the automatically inserted page numbers sit outside the header box, and that numbers larger than 99 are only showing (and printing) with the first two of the three digits
How do I fix this?

Word does some strange things with objects, page numbers, etc. that don't survive translation to Pages very well. Usually these things get converted to master or background objects. Go to Format > Advanced & choose Make master objects selectable & then go to Arrange & select Make background objects selectable. You still might not be able to click on them if they are behind text so you need to command-click outside of the margins & drag the cursor toward the object until it is selected. You can then use the Arrange menu to bring the object to the front.

If after doing all that Peggy says you find the numbers in a text box with only the 2 numbers showing, see if you can widen the box to make room for the third number.

How do I get all three page numbers to show and print in a document of more than 100 pages? The insert page numbers function works fine, up to page 99.
