Where is my imported CD in iTunes 11?

I just tried to import a new CD into iTunes. Everything went smoothly: the CD was recognized, and I watched as iTunes read each track and checked it off. When I went into my library, however, the music was nowhere to be found.

The iTunes Match Cloud next to the music drop-down button on the top left (under play control buttons) has been "working" since the import. I am not sure why it's doing that, but thought it might be worth mentioning.

How can I go about getting the music to appear in my iTunes library?

Do you see it in your Recently Added playlist and do you use iTunes Match?

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4543259 - delay of several hours (for some people overnight) for new additions to iTunes to appear in the main library window as a result of using iTunes Match. Things to try:

1) Turn off Match, see if the items appear, then turn Match on again.

2) Drag the items from the Recently Added playlist to the library.

3) Wait until they do appear.
