Unable to charge my Ipad3 with the provided 10W wall charger. Please assist.

Try a reset:

Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.

Thanks a lot.

Did as suggested and now the charging icon appears after connecting the charger.
