Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I get the same popup when I try to uninstall either of them. Haven't been able to update iTunes or Quicktime in over a year. Windows XP

iPhone 4, Windows XP
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the 
"DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Thanks - That definitely helped. I couldn't get the Major Geek site to load but was able to find a similar program to help fix the problems with iTunes and it now updates perfectly. However, I do still have the same problem with Quicktime and haven't been able to "fix" that through the same program I fixed iTunes through. Any tips there? Thanks!
What error message are you currently getting on the QuickTime install, megz?
At first it goes through fine and then towards the end of the download the same screen pops up saying "The feature you are trying to use....etc..." Just like when I tried to update iTunes. But instead of saying "iTunes.msi" it says "Quicktime.msi"

Okay ... it's the same basic type of problem as we had with iTunes, so the same sorts of measures ought to fix it ... not sure why the Fixit isn't also working for the QuickTime issue.
If you could get the CleanUp utility to download from Major Geeks (rather than the newer fixit), I'd use the same instructions as I supplied before, only instead of removing any itunes entries, we'd be removing QuickTime entries.
... Try downloading and installing CleanUp again? Can you get the install to go through this time? If so, does the procedure I just outlined fix things?
Trying to update iTunes/Quicktime I get a popup saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' Help!!
