Purchases are tied to the Apple ID account that was used to make the purchase or download forever, until Heck freezes over. So as long as apps that were downloaded with an Apple ID reside on the phone whenever they update you will be prompted for the password associated with that Apple ID. The only way around this is to delete all apps that were downloaded with the old Apple ID. If you still want those apps you will have to purchase or download them using the new Apple ID.

That's why you should never get a new Apple ID. If your email changes you need to change the Apple ID to match the new email, not create a new Apple ID account.

You also didn't notice that the post you responded to was made almost 7 years ago. Nothing has changed since then.

Disabling an Apple ID will in fact cause a lot of problems. Not least of which will be that all associated apps will no longer be updatable since they remain tied to the original Apple ID and can never be transferred.

If you delete the Apple ID all apps will cease to be tied to the Apple ID and as such you'll very likely lose access to them or they will stop working.

The best thing to do, if you are having issues with a particular email account associated with an Apple ID, is to just change the email account for the Apple ID, instead of disabling the Apple ID completely.

That way you can keep access to your Apps, and other purchased content.

The browser message is just a scam, and is unlikely to be tied to any Apple ID issues you may have.

That's great in theory, but I own both Apple ID's. I had to get a new one as the old one was compromised, outside of Apple. There has to be a way to transfer the purchases, which I own, between the two Apple IDs, which I also own. This sounds like a Big Business excuse to me, especially in the world we live in today with hackers and easily accessed accounts even at the government level. I know it isn't that difficult with other programs, apps and operating systems. What gives?

You should contact Apple Customer Service and discuss the matter with them. Because your Apple ID was compromised, they may (not "will" but "may") be willing to put the items that you purchased under your old Apple ID into the download queue for your new one (assuming the apps are still available). It's certainly worth making the case.

What you need to understand is that every time a paid application is downloaded under a new Apple ID, Apple has to pay the developer (usually a very small business) of that app. So, what you'd essentially be asking Apple to do is pay the developer for your Apps under the new ID. And while one could make the argument that you're asking for very little of Apple's billions, you can also perhaps see why allowing everyone to do this as a matter of course could make the shareholders a bit unhappy.

It is not a problem with the phone. It is a problem with how you use it. There is never a reason to create a new Apple ID; you can just change the email address associated with your account (Apple ID: Changing your Apple ID). Your purchases are tied to your account, not to your device. For a more detailed explanation try reading the post right above yours from Phil0124.
