Imac straight from the box already infected with a porn add virus 0_o

I got a Imac for my birthday and the second I was online, I opened Safari to find the loads of Gay **** ads. The Imac was brand new and I had to choose my username settings, take my picture choose my comps name and ect. It was straight out of the box, so why was the computer covered in gay **** the first time I used it? It was a brand new one BTW so 0_o

Also I should mention my brothers and nan were there to see me unwrap and use the Imac -_-'..

Fact is even if I joke about it to freinds no one (except ppl there) believes it.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

So you got it a year and a half ago? As David said, you should have taken it back.

I don't believe it was infected with a virus; I think the previous owner (who returned it to the store) or the store (they used it as a display/demo) installed MacKeeper. it acts like a virus - you should follow previous suggestions and get rid of it immediately. Apple does not pre-install MacKeeper and a Mac wouldn't come "pre-infected" - someone else did and you did not technically get a "new" machine. But that is irrelevant now - any warranty has expired anyway because you waited too long.
