ive had a pc all my life, i just found a powermac g5 on craigslist for dirt cheap and i have been meaning to make the switch for sometime now. i know hardly anything about anything apple so i turned here for help. just go over the basics and how, and what to do to set up internet( i have wireless) and everything i should know. here is what it says under the Hardware: overveiw, and yes its running osx 10.5.8 Mac G5

Processor Dual 2 GHz Powerpc G5

Memory 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM

Startup Disk MacintoshHD

Model Name: Powermac G5
Model Identifier: PowerMac11,2
Processor Name: PowerPC G5 (1.L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 Mb

Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 1 GHz
Boot ROM Version: 5.2.7f1

i dont know if you need to know the serial number or the hardware UUID, but i thought it woul be best not to include it.

my main question is what is the best way to set up interent? through a ethernet over power do-hickey? and what are the basics ill need to know to start me off on this computer. i do alot of video editing and i read this is pretty darn good for it. any help is greatly appreciated!

Starts up like the first time you buy a new Mac, but after filling in all that info again, you should have access to the computer and the other Users & files will still be there... give the new User a different name than an existing one.
