I'm buying a new Macbook Pro with Logic 9. How will I be able to connect my first gen Apogee Duet to it without a firewire input port?

If you're buying a Retina display (which I assume you are?) then you can buy a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter from Apple -->> http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD464ZM/A/apple-thunderbolt-to-firewire-adapte r.

That works fine. My new Retina drives my Firewire Duet through the Thunderbolt using the Apple adapter. Yeah! I was about to sell the Duet on Ebay...
