I am having this problem as of updating today. I have used every cord I have that will connect my ipod to my computer. I even used my husband's iphone cord to see if it would work. It didn't. Itunes recognizes my ipod, goes through the five step process, but never downloads safe safari browsing...which is the only thing different from usual. The last step is looking for updates, then it closes without syncing anything.

Sorry change of cords did not work. My search engine is Google Chrome - most current Version 25.0.1364.99. Since I use Mac not PC, I do not have "right click" option as suggested by others. Make sure both your search engine (Safari, Firefox, etc.) and iTunes (along with cord which shows Apple logo on USB connection) are current/compatible version. I'm only guessing, but hopefully checking your search engine will solve the problem.

This is actually pretty easy. After you connect your Ipod, click on the icon with your Ipod in the upper right hand corner. You will then be on the summary page. I hit manually enter music, then clicked on the music button at the top towards the middle to the right of "summary". From there you Check "entire music library" and check "sync Music". It WILL actually update your entire IPOD! Hope this helps 🙂

I am working on finishing a BA in Information Technology. This was all too easy 🙂

I am having big issues with my itunes and ipod classic!! Half of my songs/artists dont show up in my library anymore, and any new songs i download wont sync to my ipod. Also, when I right click on my ipod icon once its connected, I cannot click on any of my music. What the heck is going on? Theres also a cloud icon next to some songs but not all of them. Someone please help!

Also, I got a message saying that my ipod was corrupt and I may need to reset it in order to sync with itunes. But it also says Ill lose everything. Is this true??

I don't know you, but I love you...😍 I just.spent a whole week trying to get my ipod classic to sync..I thought maybe there was something wrong with the cable port because I couldn't get my computer to even consistantly recognize it. It wasn't even showing up under devices in my account. I just did what you suggested and voila..<sigh>. I'm so happy right now, you can't even imagine. After a week of frustration, my ipod is syncing at this very moment...I'm wondering if it was a glitch with the iTunes update? There sure are a lot of classic iPod owners having this same issue.

My degree is not in technology, but I am sure thankful yours is! 😀
