I removed my optical drive and replace it with an SSD. I now have a SSD and a HHD and my MacBook Pro. I noticed that my SSD space fluctuates between 50 GB and 30 GB does anyone have a solution how to fix this problem?
MacBook Pro, iOS 4.3.3
Addititioal RAM might help.

I have a similar problem, except my ssd free space just keeps going down. I have removed gigs of files, but the freed up space just "goes away" I have 12gigs of ram
So what do we do?
If you're using Time Machine, it could be your Local Snapshots (but if the SSD is over 80% full, they should be deleted automatically).
