Got a Mac Mini recently, the HDMI to HDMI connection shows a bad picture: contrasts are washed out, text fonts are blurry.
With MDP-VGA adapter the picture is ok.
What can it be?

Well, the best one to answer this would be Apple, but they are just not coming up with anything. Maybe the MacMini (mid 2013) comes with this issue solved, finally. For sure they will offer you a free upgrade then. ;-)
Release 10.8.3 appears to have fixed the HDMI display issues. It has with may Mac mini (late 2012). I now have full color depth support using the HDMI to my LG display. It didn't support it before with 10.8.2.
That's what I did and mine is now fine.
When was the "Late 2012" Mac Mini released? October? It's great that 10.8.3 fixed the HDMI problem, but 5+ months for a fix is absolutely ridiculous.
Have just installes OSX 10.8.3 upadte, now the picture is fine on an MDP to HDMI connection. I have had the computer running now for almost 3 days and dicovered no issues.
Finally this problem is solved!
It would habe been nice if Apple woudl have at least acknowledges this problem. I understand that some problems might not be easy to solve and I do not expect that every product is woking fine all the time. But from the viewpoint of trust and customer service it is always better to admit problems and show that they are working on it. But not really anything like this.
