Maps and google

Hi everyone,

Do you know if apple is planning to release the google map application on the app store instead of inflicting us their crappy applications full of ***** ??

Maybe they want to make us believe that a google map application is not ready yet for the app store ?

I leave in Paris they do not even have all the subway stations on the map ..... The map application is actually the app that use(d) the most !

Apple wake up or you ll be back in 2001 (or 1997) in 3 years !!!!!

That would be up to Google to release, not Apple. True, Apple would have to approve it for distribution in the app store, but there is no reason they shouldn't do so. There are plenty of other mapping apps out there.

Ask Google when they intend to release one.

Apple had very little choice but to terminate their agreement with Google and come out with their own maps app. Google was refusing to allow the kind of features that customers were demanding (turn by turn directions for one) because they wanted to give Android a leg up.

Not enough caffiene in me yet to go looking for the article, but it seems that the erroneous data that was used in the Apple maps (fixed now, by the way) was obtained from...

Nah Kilted Tim, by the way, Not fixed still km's out (sorry miles). I am sure apple would have obtained the information from third parties not the government, same as USA. People all over the world (USA) have also been caught out with apple maps so i suppose it is USA government to blame.
