Music only shows up in recently added but nowhere else

I have upgraded to iTunes 11 running on snow leapord. I have added tons of music since then and have never ran across this issue. I can search and find my music in the search field at the top but it will not open. I can play it from the recently added menu and it plays just fine. If I physically look for the artist or song names they do not exist anywhere else. I am at a loss and I have a huge library of music so this is very important to me to be able to continue finding what I need. I have too much music to be fiddling around with redoing my library or having to continually rebuild it. Anyone else having this issue and been able to fix it?

MacBook (13-inch), Mac OS X (10.6.8), iTunes 11

Do you see it in your Recently Added playlist and do you subscribe to iTunes Match?

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4543259 - delay of several hours (for some people overnight) for new additions to iTunes to appear in the main library window as a result of using iTunes Match. Things to try:

1) Turn off Match, see if the items appear, then turn Match on again.

2) Drag the items from the Recently Added playlist to the library.

3) Wait until they do appear (a long time, a day or two)

If you do not subscribe to Match, try restarting iTunes. Some report even this not working but tracks finally appearing after a long time (many hours or a day or more).
