Yesterday i started to experience speed fluctuations, Today i checked ALL and i've concluded is the Airport Extreme. next thing is warranty right? It has been only 3 weeks since i bought it.

No device requires both bands, and they will not necessarily switch from an interference - prone one to one that is not. Anything that is using 2.4 GHz will be prone to many sources of interference. That is why I wrote "use 5 GHz to the extent that your equipment supports it." With no obvious sources of interference there is no reason for your 5 GHz network throughput to be fluctuating the way you describe.

If "insider" is a bandwidth measurement utility, I am not familiar with it and can find no references to anything resembling that name.
I know no devices requires both bands i've been doing some research and my older devices are the ipad 1gen and the ipod touch 3gen both can make use of the 5ghz band so....
i have two bands (dual band router) as you said since i bought this apple routers both with different names, and im always sure which band im using but still interference...

This is my calvary im having interference on the 5Ghz band and im the only one using it in the neighbourhood.... i don't get it.

Given the fact you have tried two different routers, 5 GHz, and your clients are in close proximity to the access point, you have justification to seek a "second opinion" regarding your apparent throughput. Given your environment you should not be experiencing poor wireless performance. Rule out any uncertainly with your PC's wireless, and verify that your ISP is delivering consistent throughput by connecting it to your router with Ethernet. Relocate your router to a different area of the house. Wireless interference can arise from sources that only seem obvious after you find them.
The original iPad can use 5 GHz but not the third generation iPod Touch. It is 802.11b/g only. Only the new (current production) iPods and iPhones can use 5 GHz.

yes i've already connected the ethernet cable and many other thing like turning off the microwaves and phones, It's interference period. At the beggining i was doubtful about the cause because my ISP router worked well until yesterday when it caught interference.
My next step is gonna be (once Apple gives me my router back) try each channel one at a time of the 5ghz band.
yes the ipod 3 gen is not 5ghz...so i need both bands.
And sadly im back again with the same situation my internet connections is like a 56k modem.
What did Apple have to say about your Extreme?
Well i picked it up last Friday, These guys are on a basement, they only tested the 2.4Ghz band, they have a 5mb connection, they told me the router was fine.
I used the router Saturday and Sunday, it worked fine until Monday at 12:00 AM suddenly my connection dropped to .15. i tried all 5ghz band channels, disable wide channels, reduced power, i tried to change the firmware nothing worked.
I connected my ISP huawei router, although it worked fine at the beggining after a few minutes voilá not working either, i went to sleep and right now both routers are working fine again.
Puff but the problem is gonna be back. We would say is interference however last night i connected my ethernet cable directly to the Apple router and i was having the same bad wireless speeds. how that can be?

If your speed is as bad using Ethernet as it is wireless, then the wired equipment begins to look suspicious.
With two different routers and a clean bill of health from Apple, you seem to have ruled out just about every possibility except your ISP's equipment - cable or DSL modem and whatever else they supplied or installed, or is otherwise under their control.

When the issue is happening:
1) With my ISP router. Ethernet works fine.
2) With my Airport Extrem. Ethernet doesnt work.
Thinking about buying a Linksys or Tp-link router. I can't think in something else. Maybe im gonna get the same issue but maybe a little maybe not.
If you want to try a third router, that's up to you.
I would prefer to make the ISP work for their monthly fee.
No, the ISP is not the issue i mean with the ethernet cable connected to the ISP router it doesn't give me any issue. Only if i use it wireless and if i protest because of that they are gonna tell me is my house interference. 😟
