my macbook pro 2012 keeps restarting saying there is a problem

Sophos is such a ludicrously weak and ineffective solution compared to what I do that I can only feel pity for anyone who relies on it

Few average users know as much as you and I do on this topic. Whether you or I feel Sophos is necessary for our own machines is irrelevant. We know how to protect ourselves. Most do not. Education is always preferable, but not everyone is able or willing to learn. In such cases, any additional layers of protection can be helpful.
