Why a moon symbol next to time during daytime?

On my iPad 4, there is always showing a moon symbol next to the time on the top bar. It is in 12 hours setting. Even in the day time, the moon symbol will not go away. For example, it is now 10:14am, a moon symbol is on the left hand side of "10:14am" any ideas?

The Moon symbol means you have the [Do Not Disturb] option turned on. Which means no alerts will be heard, and no phone calls will ring.

Go to settings->Do Not Disturb, and move the slider to turn it off. The Moon icon will then go away.
