I have been unable to find an app that will show the iptc caption with the image. IOS native photo will not do it. iPhoto will not do it. Focus Point comes close, but mandatorily inserts a data panel over the image. Does anyone know an app that will do it?

Thanks for the list Leonie. It is longer than the one my search in App Store produced.
Still could not find one that displays an image and its caption and nothing else. I want to make my iPad look like a somewhat professional portfolio.

Not sureif this app will help but PhotoMgrPro has a choice to Show Caption in its slide shows. Unfortunately that choice isn't available when looking at individual photos in an album.
When in an album and scrolling through the photos manually one can choose to see the meta data.
When viewing a slide show there is a choice to Show Captions.
