I'm going to run mine dry tonight and give it a full charge tomorrow. And if it's still draining 2%/hr on standby, I'll make a service call to see what they suggest. Any better ideas?

I have found a solution for my iPhone battery life: recharge the battery until reach 80 to 90%. Make a full recharge just once a month (IOS 6 User's Guide). It takes few days to see the improvements.

Now my battery life is over 15 hors with a single charge.

15 hours is less than half of what we should be getting! I ran a test watching back to back movies yesterday and get only 6 hours on videos.

Possible fix is to repeatedly cycle to dead battery before recharging to 100% until the battery gets working as expected, then go to partial recharging with only monthy dead cycles.

After my second such dead cycle, I now have normal performance.
