Micro sd card fit in camera connection kit?

Does a micro sd card fit in the camera conection kit sd card slot?

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 5.1.1

I haven't got a micro SD card so I can't test it, and I'm not sure whether you need a microSD to SD adapter.

Ok cool cos the I just got the new GoPro and it uses a micro sd card so I was hoping to make some movies on my iPad so I hope it works.

The micro SD card doesn't fit. However, if you put it into an SD adapter (same size a regular SD card) it can be used.
