How do you register names and numbers in i-messages?

You register your phone with iMessage by going to Settings>Messages and then turning iMessages to "On".
If what your actually asking is what to do when you get a message saying other people are not registered with iMessage, then you have to tell them to follow the above directions. You can't register other people.
