I have observed that my battery drained quicker after the ios 6.0.2 upgrade. This morning at 5:40am my battery was fully charged. I removed it from charging and did not use it. Data was on. I checked it at about 9am and it has 70% battery. As i am typing this message and going to this site, i have loss 4% already.

My battery life is over 15 hors with a single charge.
Thanks for the advice. Will try this, but i find this one illogical. When the guide says full charge does that mean charging from 80% - 100% is a full recharge. Users usually charge their device at night and goes to sleep. I hope apple provide a fix for this

Please inform me where abouts it say to only charge your battery to 80/90% on the iOS 6 guide, because I have gone through the whole thing PDF and nowhere in there does it say to charge only to 80-90% and once a month only to 100%
P.S. you only have so many charge cycles, around 400, a full charge is 0-100% you can also do a "full charge cycle" if you do one day from 50% to 100% that is half a charge, and the next day 50-100% is another half, which is one full charge, it all depends on the user really.
Just as long as you have one full charging cycle (100% and drain all the way down), once a month, you should be fine.
The recharge cycling is rather irrelevant in this instance.
Prior to 6.0.2 I could use the phone all the day and still have plenty of juice in the evening. I didn't even have to charge it every night.
It's now 11:50am and having charged the phone all night it only has 22% juice left. This has nothing to do with the charging patterns but all to do with the 6.0.2 update, so let's not loose track of what this thread is about and hope Apple fixes it ASAP.
The phone even RUNS HOT at the back as it's burning so much juice!!
I wish I could roll back to 6.0.1.. whatever happened to the system restore idea? (or is that a Microsoft patent!? LOL).
if you guys run it without the Cellular on does your phone run cooler/normally? Does it save battery life?

Hi! I tried to run it with cellular off. It runs normal. It doesn't drain that fast. I usualy have my push mail off. everything else turned on.

yeah its defiantely software, I've seen many people complaining about iPhone 5 and iOS 6/6.0.1/6.0.2 battery drain/hot with cellular on. Hopefully you guys get a correcting update soon.
PS. I am actually testing my 4S with iOS 6.0.1 with all notifcations,wifi/cellulart,siri,push mail/fetch on, and this time i will have location services on as well, no iCloud. Currently I'm at 60% with 3hours 34minutes usage/ 11 hours 51minutes standby
Well, I do hope Apple reads all the threads re 6.0.2 battery issue.
Hi! Thanks for your post. Just a question, do you consider the usage you have shown with 8:31 hours as good? I certainly do as I get never more than 6 to 7 hours. And I do not use excessive 3G. When I'm on the road and use only 3G I get only 5 to 5:30 hours. Wondering if I have a faulty iPhone and probably 6.0.2 update can't make it much worse??

that "usage" time was with Notifcations on/Push and fetch on/ wifi and siri and 3G on. That was alright, If i turn most of that stuff off and leave just wifi and 3G on I can do a little bit more than that. To me that is considered decent though.
PS. I tested battery with all on, 3g/wifi/ push notifcations/ location services/Siri on/push mail and I got 7 hours 1 mintue usuage and 1 day 1 hour standby
Apple is still signing for 6.0.1 so you can RESTORE BACK to 6.0.1. Just download the 6.0.1 IPSW for your device and then press the shift key while pressing restore (on windows) which will open a window. Select the downloaded IPSW and you'll be back on 6.0.1. And since Apple is still signing 6.0.1 THIS IS NOT A HACK
OR AN UNAUTHORIZED downgrade. So it DOES NOT void your warranty because Apple is allowing you to downgrade because they've allowed the 6.0.1 window to remain open. I did it for a friend's iPhone and it all worked out fine.
