my ipod touch gen 4 does not fully charge

Hi,

When I charge my iPod Touch (4th gen), it only charges up to 60% (i.e. it doesn't continue to charge further even when I leave it charged over night).

I tried to reset the iPod touch but problem still persists.

Please let me know what I need to do.

Many thanks

P.S. my iPod touch is about 2 years old. Seldom use

iPod touch, iOS 6.0.2

I fully drained the battery on my iPod Touch...and after I plugged it to charge, it wouldn't charge.

It recognises that it's plugged to the power source but the battery meter doesn't go up...

the iPodTouch can't even be turned on after plugging in for 1.5hrs.

yes, I tried various chargingsources - same problem.

Is this a hardware problem?
