What is Superfish and How do I kill it

All of a sudden I am getting these comparison shopping pop-up windows on every page that even hints of having something for sale. It shows it's linked to something called superfish.com. Where does this come from and how do I kill it?

I'm using Safari and OS X Lion

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.5)

here is an update for the one that search a solution if there is no plug-in available

TLDR; it's DownLite adware -- remove these files from Mac OS X:

/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist

/Library/LaunchDaemons/Jack.plist

/Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/Jack

/System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework

Empty the trash and restart the computer (or vice-versa).

I hope it solve your issue for me he did. I didn't found all the file but the one found did the trick!
