iPhone 5 wifi slow
Even After the iOS6.0.2 update the wifi on the new iPhone 5 is painfully slow. YouTube videos and websites load very slowly and Siri doesn't respond a lot of the time.

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.2
I Am have the same problem as was described by cajram
tiguan
with my net gear router at home im having to re-set my network settings all the time! but with my Linksys at work i never have a problem.
I Really don't have a problem with Siri however, YouTube videos and websites load very slowly and sometimes stops when using a linksys Wifi connection at home or at work.
iphone5. Ios6.0.2
I have the same issue even after the update.
Video is slowest.
I'm having to use 3G because its faster.
What's the deal, Apple?
I also suddenly experience performance issues on my iphone 5 after upgrading to ios6.0.2. my recommendation is to stay away from ios 6.0.2. I ran a test side by side on my iphone 5 and iphone 4, loading of web sites is much faster on iphone 4 running ios 6.0
I did a test using my son's iphone 4 running ios5 and my iphone 5 running ios6.0.2. I connected both phones to two different Linksys, a Netgear and dlink routers at seperate times in different locations. I ran the same youtube video at the four locations on both phones. The iphone4/ios5 played the video perfectly. The iphone5/ios6.0.2 took a long time to start, played for a few seconds then stopped for a long time, played for a few seconds then stopped for a long time, etc, etc. Playing youtube videos on iphone5/ios6.0.2 is almost impossible. Can someone from Apple please address this issue.
Yeah, I'm getting ready to downgrade back to the 4s myself. I tried to be patient, I tried to fix things on my end such as upgraded my router and such, but it's becomming an annoying problem. I didn't spend this much money for a crappy phone that was supposed to be better than it's latter versions. ****, I might even switch to the galaxy s3.
Good job Apple!
Same problem here, airplay works when it wants to. Sometimes the airplay devices will show up after power cycling my Iphone 5. The music will cut in and out intermittently, then the devices disappear. Youtube videos wont load, if they do. Videos will stop after 5 seconds. Webpages, mail, and facebook will stop loading at all. Rebooting the phone will solve the problem anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. I'm starting to regret upgrading from my Iphone 4.
I could go on and on, but have the same Iphone5 problems as above, on IOS6.02.
I'm afraid we're just shouting into the void wishing for some scrap of info from Apple.
Like to say my next phone is Android when I can get out of Iphone5. Meanwhile can only hopelessly wish for help from the mothership to ease my frustration till then.
Peace out....
My problem is actually getting worse. I went to check my email this morning and I had ZERO bars and could not retrieve mail. Now it seems I can't rely on my cell data connection. I rebooted the phone, and had 5 bars again. This is now turning into a major inconvience. The nearist apple store is about an hour and a half drive from me. I'll probably have to send my phone back to apple. Does anyone have experience with this? How long will I have to go without a phone?
Turn off private browsing, my wifi is back to normal now
I turned off private browsing and my wifi is still malfunctioning. This did not solve my problems playing videos while connected to wifi.
I was trying a few things at same time.
Do the old reliable and turn off the iphone for 10 seconds and turn it back on.
Also, I made sure to turn turn off all the apps and then on trying it after, it works. can play Youtube videos no problem now.
I turned off all apps, turned off the phone for 30secs and private browsing is still turned off. My problem playing videos while connected to Wifi still exists. If this suggestion did in fact solve the problem, do you think that it is reasonable to expect that one should have to turn off all apps and reboot the phone every time a video is played while connected to Wifi? I think not. This problem is bigger than just turning options off and on, and even though I am grateful for your suggestions and have tried them all, playing videos while connected to wifi still exists.
That's a pity, I had found that suggestion on another thread.
Just to note, one last thing I did that I forgot to mention was that I pressed 'Renew lease' for the wifi network I am connected to a couple of times in quick succession.
I have no idea which actually worked. Anyway, that's all my suggestions, hope you get it working.
