Can't get Home Sharing turned on due to error (-3253). Does anyone know what this error message relates specifically to and what I must do specifically to correct it?

I am having the same problem. It is only home sharing that will not connect, it is connecting to the store perfectly, and i am able to use netflix etc.
Same can anyone assist?

Same issues here. I've tried re-installing iTunes and no improvement. As noted above Netflix is fine but homesharing does not work. Help please!
Give it a little time. Apple Store is way overloaded with requests because of Christmas. Keep trying. It has nothing to do with your internet connection.
