Suddenly my I pad stopped working. I have tried to reset it however the apple appears and that is all. Can anyone help me?

Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.
I tried that and the apple appears and nothing happens. Is there another way to do it?
I have done that as well. Is there a way to turn on beside holding down home and sleep when completely turned off? Just to clarify the sleep button is the circle on the bottom and the home button is on the top right hand side correct?
The Sleep/Wake button is on the top and the round Home button is at the bottom.

yes, when u see that apple symbol press the 'home' button (press is once or twice maximum and wait for 5 seconds). This button is at the bottom in centre.
