Whatsapp on Iphone 3G IOS 4.2.1

It's still not working for me (I also have a 3G). And this was the last straw - I am getting rid of my iPhone and my Mac... and never going back!!!! I'm so sick of these incompatibility issues and Apple's having abandonned all clients who don't pay hundreds of dollars each year to constantly upgrade their products. I'm defintely going to encourage anyone who ever asks me for advice or about my experiences with "i" products to use Androids and PCs instead.

Not sure if you'll enjoy your android and pc though.

Yep, I also can confirm that it is working now. iPhone3G OS 4.2.1 and WhatsApp 2.8.4.

Make sure when you go to Android to use Viber, Skype, or something other than Whatsapp or you will eventually run into the same issue. Enjoy your Android phone.

Those who do not have whatsapp instaled what should do? I have a 3G and I don`t have whatsapp instaled, I tried to find a solution this days, but nothing works .. can you help me ... it is a real unpleasure situation, because I can not install any aplication, like facebook, viber etc ...

Nope doesn't work because when you try to activate whatsapp you will receive a message that contain a six digits code number to activate it but old version of whatsapp need 3 digits.

You do not have any other solution then upgrading to ios 4.3 or more so you can use whatsapp.

And i do not recommend anybody to upgrade their iphone 3g or 3gs to ios 5.0 , 5.1.1 , 6.0.1 or 6.0.1 cause you will have some problems such as :

-battery wil drain faster

-iphone 3g wil be slower

And more other problems.

(I have iphone 3g , 3gs , 4 , 4s and iphone 5 and i experienced many problems with iphone 3g and 3gs when upgrading to ios 5 and more).

It works now, install WhatsApp Messenger - v2.8.4

...or put it again in your iTunes Library and sync.

btw. it works on 3.1.3 & 4.2.1 firmware!!

It is just unbelievable. Whatsapp now seams to bw working again. But I eliminated the app from my 3G, and now I try to install it again and iTunes said there's an error (0xe8008001). Somebody can please help me, I have the ipa file whatsaap 2.8.4.

Kevin0129: You are getting that error because the .ipa file you have is bootlegged... stolen... it is not licensed for use by your Apple ID.

I have the same problem. I've always wanted an iPhone and when I finally decide to get one its completely useless. Bought a 3G and tried installing Whatsapp and all i get is "this app requires iOs 4.3"

The worst part is the fact that they make you pay for an app like Whatsapp but then they dont support half of the users that want to but it...

I am quite dissapointed about this..i just joined the Apple community, finally, and now im ready to leave it again.
