My nano also won't sync. It starts to sync an album but then gets stuck on the first song and doesn't go anywhere. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, restored my Nano (so now there's nothing on it), have sycned from the Nano screen in iTunes and have tried dragging and dropping music onto it. Every time it just gets stuck at the first song and does not progress. I've left it for hours and still no progress. Can anyone help? (OS: Vista)

I have iPod nano (7th generation). I also tried to sync it with the latest iTunes 11.0.2 in MacBook Pro (early 2011). It would not detect it.

Then, I went to BootCamp side and use Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (french 32-bit edition). I also downloaded the latest iTunes 11.0.2, and for some reason it detected it fine! Weird.

Maybe it is corrupt or something. I do not know. My iPad 1 is working fine in Mac mode for iTunes.

I bought this Ipod Nano - 7th generation - 2 weeks ago and it will not sync with my itunes at all. I have followed the instructions here and it appears to be syncing, says that it is syncing, subtracts the correct amount of room on the available space on the nano, but when I eject and disconnect - NOTHING! No music. Then I go through the whole process and still nothing. I spent alot of money buyiong music two weeks ago and this is incredibly frustrating. Any other ideas????

There are two other options that I can think of off the topic of my head.

The iPod nano (7th generation) can be used as a USB flashdrive.

If you have Windows XP, you can plug it in and format it.

Then you can go to your iTunes (whether Mac or Windows) and restore the software.

Restoring your device to original factory usually works in this case.

You can search online for "restore iPod nano 7th to factory" or something like that.

Praise Jesus Christ for any help I gave you!hehe

Jesus Christ!

This is a secret so do not tell.

If you can figure it out.

There is a way to manually restore it to a different factory setting.

There might be versions of factory out that are not standard on Apple.

I think you have to hold down shift and press restore on the iTunes menu for you iPod nano.

Anyways, you first have to download the IPSW file which is the factory default software.

To date, I only know of two available. Maybe three.

However, you might be able to talk to the developers into developing a special version for you.

There is the Apple official developers as well as the unofficial ones.

Good luck!;)

hehe
