why there is no information about the "best before date" on apple products?

I have bought a device and it is still OK but apple think it is moldy? So throw it away?

I bought an app and i can't use it anymore because of apple? The device ist still running, the app is still running

but from one day to the other it is expired?

Where is the information about this behaviour?

I have a Golf 4 since 1999. It was expensive but it is still running and there is no one who tells me to stop and cut some cables after a few years. i can still fill it with gas and drive to my work because thats what i paid for!

You appear to have reading difficulties. Again: Whatsapp is not an Apple product. Apple have done nothing to stop Whatsapp working on your old iPhone.

That's not right, thanks to apple Whatsapp isn't working anymore. They don't allow app developers to update apps for ios 4.2.1 or lower.

Btw, I'm very happy with my LG phone. And yes, I think it will support apps like WhatsApp longer then it worked on my old iPhone 3g. Why? Because I can install custom ROM's with the newest Android version whenever I want!

I will stop talking about my new phone now, I don't think you guys get that much happier with that information.

Thanks for the nice years I had on iOS Apple 😉 You have some features that arn't there on Android.

I want that you see what Apple answererd me :

Dear Hila,

I can certainly understand the disappointment and some times frustrating experiences with technology.

It reminds me of things that used to be and how things have change so drastically fast.

I remember that we first enjoyed movies on Betamax until the VHS came out then came the laser disk which was very expensive but only have a short run until the CDs, DVDs and Blue Rays appeared, and in addition the micro storage devices. It makes us wonder that after paying for all those players, we just have to store them away as the medias that are out on the market are no longer playable on those devices.

Hila, I'm afraid I can no longer assist you with a refund for your iPhone 3G for not being able to support the current iOS versions that would play current Apps developed.

Apple recognizes that no one is better qualified to provide feedback about our products and services than the people who use them. I urge you to submit any feedback you have about iPhones and iOS at Apple's Feedback page:

http://www.apple.com/feedback

Your efforts to share your feedback are very much appreciated."

What do you say about this?

Apple? Seriously? VHS was introduced in 1976 in Japan (=37!!!! years ago) and is STILL FULLY usable with ALL its features in 2013, no need to talk about CDs, DVDs and Blue Rays. The iPhone 3G is 4,5 years old.

4,5 << 37. Planned obsolescence, nothing more.

This is becoming more than rediculous guys...

I am amazed that people are still continuing with this discussion, and with some idiotic analogies! I realized that there was nothing that I could do about it and got myself an Android device. After a week I can see that this is a permanent move - none of the restrictions of Apple! WhatsApp installed in a few minutes. I used to be a huge Apple fan, but brand loyalty can only take you so far. My iPhone 3G is now a permanent iPod in my car. I am now reading these posts on my Samsung, and the door did not hit me on the way out.
