Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Hello, as I was looking at the home screen of my Apple TV 3 (with latest software, 5.1.1 (5433)) the TV Shows icon disappeared. This happened just a few moments ago.
I now only have Movies, Music, Computers and Settings on the top row of icons.
I live in the UK and I am using an iTunes UK account.
I have tried restarting the Apple TV, and signing out and back in to my iTunes account but neither action has fixed the problem.
Any suggestions?

I have tv 3 too and I can't get the tv shows icon back on no matter what I do
Having just been out for a while, now I've come back, all the icons have magically returned, so seems to have resolved itself for me at least!
Well my Apple TV seems to have lost both Movies and TV Shows. I'm in the UK here. I did a restart and movies came on. And then I came back later to turn it on again to find movies has disappeared again. Surely this has to be an issue regarding the apple tv service in the UK?

I've just returned home and checked the ATV3, still no TV Shows icon, but since so many people have the same issue it would appear to be a UK-wide iTunes/ATV service issue.
I will see about reporting it to Apple and refer them to this thread.
Me too; got ATV3 for Christmas and it was all working fine today, then I lost movies and TV shows icons today. I can still access the TV shows through the computer icon though, it is just the icon is missing and there is a hole where it should be! Glad I'm not the only one anway!
Same here - apple TV3 purchased in UK and just started to use it. The TV Shows option has disappeared from my menu. Latest version of the software as well. Come on Apple - it's Christmas!!!
I have requested a telephone support call from Apple, it seems to be the only way to contact them directly...
I have chosen the option to request an exception to the usual £26 charge, so I will report back about how I get on. I'm not sure if any Apple employees actually read this forum and I'm only seeking to raise this apparent fault to their attention.
Hi, only to register that Movies icon is back.
Just in the Apple TV 2. The Apple TV 3 is still missing movies icon.
In the UK with a 2nd gen Apple TV. TV shows icon also not showing.
In Brazil, Apple TV 2 Movies icon is missing again. Are they joking with us? May be.

Apple are aware of this issue and their engineers are working on the issue, so basically we all just need to sit tight and wait for it to be fixed.

ATV 3rd – latest Software.
Restart and complete new installation doesn't help.
I guess it's an apple server problem.
Hoping they will fix it soon.
Would be nice, if apple could post a info at the place of missing icon.
Just to know, that they work on it, avoiding me hours of troubleshooting.

Hi Jadekaiser, see immediately above. Apple support confirmed to me on the phone it's a mown issue and they are working to resolve it.
I did suggest that they could avoid further calls by doing something to alert customers to the issue, but I'm not sure if this bit of input will get past the first line of support!
