Where does iTunes 11 keep the backup of my iPhone 5?

iTunes places the backup files in the following places:

• Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
• Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
  Note: To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, and choose Run. Type %appdata% and clickOK.
• Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
  Note: To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata% and press theReturn key.

If you have checked iCloud in the automatically Back Up section then these won't apply

bust since I've upgraded, where is the new location?

It is in the same location.

I think you need to go to the other Library Folder

Open Finder

Click on go in the top menu. Press the Option key Library will appear in the list. Select that and navigate down that path

Yeah I bashed my head against a brick wall until I realised for some reason there are 2 Library folders. Does anybody out there know why?

One is the system library and one is a user library.

Thanks Chris, I don't suppose it occurred to Apple to name one User Library and one System Library to avoid this sort of confusion????

What if that folder doesn't exist? I can't find it anywhere, even in a spotlight search... 😟

iTunes prefs > Devices.

This wiull show your iPhone backups.

How can i reveal the location of those backups? There are different dates on Library folder, and different on itunes.
