Gopod

Has anyone had any experience using the program Gopod to remove the volume restrictions on their 5G iPod? 99% of the time the volume is plenty loud enough on my pod but occaisionally it just needs to be louder, say for instance when listening to a quite track when around loud traffic or on a noisy bus or train. Any feedback would be greatly received :o)

Instead of Gopod or Eupod, try this first.

In itunes library, right click on a track, select "get info", select "options" and then adjust the volume to 95%-100%.

If you highlight all tracks in itumes together, you can adjust all the voumes to 100% in one go.

Doing this, has given me more tan adequate volume, without installing gopod or eupod.

Hope this helps.

Contrary to what the previous poster said, you don't install goPod. It's software designed to remove the volume cap installed on all iPods manufactured fro the Euro market. It's not something you install on the iPod (neither is Eupod).

Once you've used goPod, you don't have to mess around with the song files in iTunes (which if you are over zealous with the volume slider) can introduce distortion.
