Swapped out my original iPad for new Mini yesterday. When sending iMessages the profile picture is my husband, not me. I can't figure out how to change it. I've tried in iTunes thinking perhaps b/c we share an account but the iTunes is all my info. Thank you for any assistance.

Go to the contacts app. Tap on your own contact information. Tap on Edit, then tap on the picture showing that is associated with your contact and you can edit the photo that way.
If you are using your husbands ID - that may be why his picture is showing.
When you send something in I message, it is associated with a particular e mail adress. In settings/messages it will tell you what e mail address that is ( if you do not know). Then in contacts look for your husbands contact info, and then yours. It is probably grabbing the first contact that has that e mail address and grabbing that image.
When you pick a contact it will show you the e mail address and any picture that is associated with it. If you don't see a picture and e mail address, look for a second entry in the contact list. ( I am listed in my contact app 4 times.... Need to do some clean up.).
My daughter, my wife and I all share an Apple ID. I set up all of our devices to use FaceTime and Messages using different email address - which I know that you know how to do as I have recently seen you talk about it.
My point is ... I associated a photo with my wife and with my daughter in my contacts app - and when they message me - I see their photos - not mine.
Okay, battle halfway won. I edited both of our contacts, even deleted everything for him and started over. Now no picture shows up in iMessage which is better than his picture.It does show a picture on my contact so maybe one day that will show up but at least right now I'd rather have nothing than his picture. Thank you all for your help.
Take a look in your contacts app, at the e mail address associated with your id. is there a picture associated with that contact? That is the picture it is going to show.
I'm in the contacts app on my ipad. where do i find the email address associated with that id? Thanks!
