How do I delete temp files created by Photoshop? I can't find these files.
I only have one HD. It says capacity is 243.22 GB and available space is 1.58 GB. I already backed up my personal files so I expected it should have more disk space but it didn't.
How can something use up 243 GB space in my mac?

I am not running time machine. But I already backed up all my personal files to an external disk
Turn off time machine. Tm takes hourly snapshot and that where ur space is.

Well, it's either Time Machine or Time Vault - I don't know of any others using this format (but I don't know everything 😉).
If both are off, and you are confident in your backup, I'd be inclined to delete it.
Ooops, for Time Vault read File Vault. File Vault would explain why your Home folder doesn't appear in the Users listing.

I cannot turn off Time Vault either on my machine because it says I need 61 GB to do it. I am out of options. I don't know if it's safe to delete sparsebundle files. It's probably not safe.
OK, play with the baby for a while and I'll see if I can point an expert in this direction
You don't need to turn off FileVault. When you launch ODS, it displays a Drive List. Select your FileVault disk image in that list. It has the same name as your home folder. That's where you'll find the files that are filling up the drive. After moving or deleting those files, log out to compact the disk image.
You don't need to make all files visible in the Finder, either. ODS ignores the invisibility attribute.
Thank you for the suggestion but I cannot find FileVault in the ODS.
Please launch the Disk Utility applicaton and see what mounted disks are listed in the pane on the left.
I cannot access my mac now. I restarted but then mac doesn't start, it just shows the apple logo and the loading icon goes on and on.
I didnt delete anything yet on ODS,by the way.
You have a boot failure probably because the volume is full. Are you sure you have a current backup of all your data? I mean, really sure?
I already transferred my personal files, pictures and music to an external disk.
