I just bought a new ipod touch 5. before i bought this one, i had the previous model, the ipod tough 4g. i want to put all of my data from my previous ipod touch to my new one. i dont have enough space to backup icloud to my new one. please help.

Follow the "Using iTunes to transfer..." section, not the iCloud section.
Surely you must have enough space on your computer? If not, you'll have to clear some.
If you don't have storage on iCloud then do it on a computer like julian said.
If you want to have more storage on iCloud you need to pay more yearly. But it gives 5gb free.

Do it on the computer you've always been syncing this device with, then you'll have no problems.
wait, i found my real problem, my itunes isnt current enough to support the newest ipod... and i really dont feel like paying 20 bucks for mac os x 10.6 is there any other way i can connect to my computer because that would solve my problem. when i plug the new ipod in it says, "The iPod “Eric's iTouch” cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 10.7 or later. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes." and to get that version of itunes i need an update that costs 20. any other ways i can get it to connect correctly, or do i have to buy the software?
