use airdrop with iPhone 5
How do I use Airdrop to move files between my iMac and iPhone 5. It appears active on my iMac but the iMac doesn't see my iPhone 5. Do I need to enable it on the iPhone? How do I do that?
iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.1

You don't natively.
Look to see if there is an app in the store.
AirDrop works between Macs running OS X. It does not work with iDevices.
A cool Air Drop workaround for sharing items between your iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iTouch) and your Mac is to use Apple Message. Simply drag drop any item into Apple Message on the Mac, or copy/paste it on the iOS device and send a message to yourself.
Hopefully Apple will consider adding AirDrop to iOS since I think it would encourage folks to stay Apple loyal.
I've been using DropBox. Works like a charm between OS X and iPhone, but can also be used to share (like airdrop) with anyone anywhere, not just someone who sees your network. Once I setup a folder (with, for example, my sister) I just drop photos and videos and they end up on her machine. She does nothing.
This is a great workaround! Thanks.
