Add a birthday to the calendar

How do I add a birthday to my iPad calendar so it shows up with a little gift/bow next to it?

Add the birthday in the contacts app and then it will appear in the calendar.


In the Contacts App - Locate the contact that you want to associate with the birthday, Tap the Edit button at the bottom of the person's contact page. Swipe down to the bottom to the "Add Field" button. Tap that and swipe down to birthday in the popup window. Add the information and tap Done in the upper right corner.


That will add the persons birthday to the birthday calendar.
