Mac Pro Early 2008, Installed ML,

After installed mountain lion, worked few weeks, though it was slow on sleep/wakw-up and power off. now keeps rebooting. does not come on.

Hi Grant, Apple Genius Bar confirmed bad video card. will cost abot $300 to replace. it is NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT, 512 MB. I agreed to get it fixed. I want to change my apple mail account password from another

computer (win) by logging into icloud account, but I didnot see any options. I think you can do this in mail preference. any thoughts on this?

A new Apple-firmware 5770 may be a better deal for you at about US$250. Apple only recommends what they have tested exhaustively, and the 5770 came out after your model was discontinued, so they have never tested it and do not recommend it. The Apple-firmware 5770 works in all models of Mac Pro, and accelerated Drivers are in 10.6.5 and later.

Most Apple products have 14 day "no questions" return policy, so you can cancel that "repair" if you change your mind.

RE: changing passwords --

I do not know, but you should definitely start a new topic to attract users who know about that issue. The combined expertise of this user community is enormous, but you need to attract the Readers who know about your specific issue.
