Using Ipad with wise link

I have an Ipad 2 and have recently upgraded my software. I have a Samsung TV that has wiselink. When I plug in my Ipad to the wiselink connector, the result is "no device detected". Is there a setting on the Ipad that I am missing? Please help, Thanks.

Wiselink is a Sumsung technology that does not support iOS devices. You will need to use an Apple AV cable or Apple TV to use your iPad with the TV.
