I have a Kodak Z740 camera from 2005. How do I download photos to my 2011 MacBook?

I have a Kodak Z740 camera and I'm trying to download the photos to a MacBook Pro. The mac doesn't recognize the photos and won't accept the software that came with the camera. I tried using a card reader, but no luck there either. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks.

If your camera came with a USB cable, turn your camera on, and plug your camera into your laptop. Depending on what OS you have, either iPhoto or Image Capture will automatically launch. You will be able to select which photos you want to transfer, or you can transfer ALL of the images to your computer. The images will automatically be placed into your Photos folder. Remember to eject your camera before you disconnect your camera. You can do this by finding the camera on your desktop (or in your finder window) and eject the disk that shows up (usually is named "NO NAME")
