I tried using the Hotcorner option and set it up to bring up the screen saver on swiping to the bottom right corner of the screen. However it does not lock the screen.
I was wondering if there is an option to lock the screen as well - when swiped.
Am using a Macbook Air - Mid 2011 edition.

Ok I figured it how! No need to install any third-party softwares.
1) Select the hotcorner accordingly - In my case I selected the bottom right corner as Screen saver.
2) Go to System preferences - Security & Privacy - Under General tab - Select -> Require password immediately after sleep or screen saver begins -- Viola! You take the cursor to the hotcorner - leave it for a second - and its LOCKED!

It's not a swipe. Move the cursor into the corner of the screen and leave it there for about a second.
Ok. I get the point. But is there any way for the screen to be locked - so when I move the cursor - it will prompt me for the password.

There's no built-in gesture for locking the screen, but you may be able to do it with third-party software that adds gestures, such as "BetterTouchTool."
