I am having probelms with some online banking sites and some Facebook games ie: Farmville and Cafe World. I have seen suggestions advising to switch to either of these or even Google Chrome. I am a newby and dont understand ? I went to a MAC beleiving this system didnt have these sort of issue. Please educate me so I can understand a little more. Very confused at the moment. 😕
Safari, Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Intenet Explorer, etc. all are Browsers, and all do the exact same thing. Some just have better security (Firefox) and some are better for what you're using them for (Chrome, if you have a Google account). For what you're trying to use your browser for, I would suggest Firefox (best security). If you're having problems with a website, it's probably the website's fault, not the browser. For more information on differences between browsers (it would take a while to type up), do a quick online search by going to google.com and searching for "Difference between (browser) and (browser)". It has to do with the way the webmaster of a particular website designs the website. I generally prefer Firefox; however, there is one site - my electric company - where I am unable to pay my bills electronically using Firefox. It simply will not work - entering info is fine, but hitting the button "next" does not. So, I use Safari for that one site and it works. I also ran into a banking site which I had huge problems with - actually with both Safari and Firefox - I called and they told me their site is designed to work with Internet Explorer only, so i changed banks after offering that not everyone in the world uses IE and they needed to get to the 21st century. So, your Mac or Windows machine has little to do with it - it's the website and browser interaction.
