Bookmark button greyed out. Why? Ipad mini

On my Ipad mini, the print, copy, bookmark and add to my reading list buttons are all greyed out and unusable. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

1. When you select Copy - your are copying the URL - are you aware of that? You are not copying text on the website.

2. If you tap on Print do you see this pop up?

3. If you bookmark a site, do you see something like this?

4. When you select something for the reading list, the site has to download to the list and you can see the book icon turn into the eyeglasses icon. Look at the icon next to the arrow icon and see how it turns into the eyeglasses icon while the page is downloading to the reading list. It takes a few seconds or so.

I don't have a printer, but the printer options box opens up. When I select bookmark, the bookmark box opens up and when I touch save, the box closes, but the bookmark does not appear on my bookmark list. I can not add to my bookmark list. As for the reading list, when I touch the add to the reading list, the box closes and nothing happens.

In your first post, you mentioned that the print and copy functions as well as the others, were not working. If you get the print window to pop up, that feature is working. If you can copy the URL and paste it it no a blank URL field in a new tab, that feature is working ... so try this now for the bookmarks and reading list.

Quit Safari completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the Safari icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus ➖ sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.

Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

If that doesn't work, try this. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

If it still doesn't work, try this. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
