Mac Cant Sign INTO Messages

Everything was fine. Then i got an iPhone and set it up. When i started it, my imessages werent synced so i tried signing out of messages on mac and then sigining back in. It wouldnt let me sign back in. It game me an error saying the server encountered an error processing your registeration. I tried using a different apple id. I checked my hosts file, it is perfectly fine. I can sign into the appstore, gamecentre, icloud, facetime perfectly. Only i messages is giving me an error. Is it because of my iphone?

how do i sign out of imessage on my idevices? just turn imessages off? or sign out of itunes store on all devices?

update

what i did was signed out of itunes store on each device and than turned messages off on each device.

update #2

if that was the correct way to sign out of messages on my idevices, it still didnt help the issue with my mac. i'm still getting the same error message about not being able to register.

i had to pay apple -_-

had to delete cache items by holding cmd i think and pressing library in finder, than take out these plist files from preferences that had anything like imagent or imessage, anything like that was moved to desktop. than had to do a pram refresh by shutting down mac and holding down cmd+optn+r+p as soon as i press power button, i'd hold down those 4 buttons until i hear the computer restart twice than let go. and poof that fixed issue, deleted old plist files that were on desktop.
