Why are some of my songs/audiobooks that I uploaded onto my iTouch greyed out?

As the topic says I've put some songs onto my iTouch as well as some audio books. Some of the songs and audiobooks are greyed out and I can't play them on the iTouch. Its just some of the songs/books and not others. Can't figure out the rhyme or reason behind it or how to fix it. Please help. Thanks.

iPod touch, Windows 7

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Unsync the items and resync

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
